I help with website troubleshooting and fixes, Shopify support, domains, DNS setup, business email, Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, online accounts, website administration and the miscellaneous digital jobs that accumulate quietly in the background until somebody finally deals with them.
You hire me for the work you need rather than committing to an ongoing retainer. One problem, several jobs or a gloriously disorganised list you have been avoiding for six months are all perfectly acceptable.
If you already have a website and need technical help maintaining, updating or troubleshooting it, I am perfectly happy working with something I did not build.
Website support might involve updating content, changing navigation, correcting links, replacing images, adjusting existing sections, investigating errors, tidying website settings, dealing with configuration problems or showing you how to manage something yourself. Sometimes the job is clearly defined. Sometimes the brief is essentially, "This thing has stopped working and nobody knows why." Both are valid starting points.
Before changing anything significant, I look at what is already there. If the website has sound foundations, we work with them. If I find a larger structural problem hiding underneath, I will explain it before an innocent little job turns into open-heart surgery.
If the website needs substantial new content, pages, products or functionality rather than maintenance and troubleshooting, that work belongs under Website Growth. If the existing site has reached the point where rebuilding makes more sense than repairing, we can look at Shopify Website Design & Development instead.
Studio Von Terrible provides Shopify help and technical support for small businesses that already have a Shopify store but need an experienced pair of hands inside it.
That includes everyday Shopify support such as store settings, navigation, collections, products, content changes, theme configuration, Shopify administration and troubleshooting unexpected behaviour. It is also useful when you know what you want the store to do but have reached the stage where searching for another tutorial is becoming a threat to public safety.
I also help with Shopify app setup and integrations where they form part of the website job. Apps have a habit of introducing settings, permissions and connections across several parts of a store, so the problem is not always sitting obediently inside the app where you expect to find it.
Shopify maintenance and website updates might also involve investigating something that has changed after a theme or app update, fixing an awkward setting, reviewing how part of the store has been configured or dealing with a problem that has appeared somewhere between Shopify and another connected service.
Not every Shopify problem requires a new store. Sometimes the sensible answer is to find the problem, fix it properly and send everyone home. I provide domain help and DNS support for small businesses dealing with domain setup, DNS records, website pointing, email records, domain settings and the technical configuration connecting the various services behind a business.
That might mean connecting a domain to a website, changing DNS records during a website move, investigating where a domain is currently pointing, working out which provider controls which part of the setup or dealing with the assorted records required to make websites and business email talk to the right services.
I also help investigate business email problems where the issue relates to domains, DNS or account configuration. That includes troubleshooting business email connected through services such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 where the problem falls within the website, domain or account setup I am working on.
I am not an email hosting provider or an outsourced IT department. If the problem belongs with a specialist provider, I will say so. If a website has moved, a domain has changed, email has stopped behaving or several providers appear to be pointing accusingly at one another, send the gremlin my way and I will work out where the problem lives.
A business exists in more places online than its website. Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, business listings, citations and connected accounts all contribute to the digital machinery surrounding it.

Website migration help sometimes sits in the strange territory between web development, domains, DNS, email and account administration. Moving a website or changing a service often means several pieces need to be disconnected and reconnected in the correct order without accidentally setting fire to something important.
I help with website migrations and related setup where they fall within my technical territory, including domain connections, DNS changes, website configuration and the supporting accounts involved in getting everything pointed where it belongs.
The same applies to other connected digital tools. If a website needs to communicate with another service, a Shopify integration needs setting up or an account needs to be connected as part of the job, I will look at the whole chain rather than pretending the problem stops neatly at the edge of the website.
Plenty of small businesses need technical website support without needing someone permanently attached to the payroll.
